A public charitable trust

Schools teach the syllabus.
Nobody teaches the mind behind it.

Sammati is a public charitable trust dedicated to the holistic development of students and communities across India. Every child deserves a chance to learn. Every individual deserves dignity. Every community deserves hope.

Sammati brings people, ideas and opportunities together to create lasting social impact.

The gap isn’t awareness. It’s access — and it’s widest exactly where children are.

Why we exist

Many problems, one child.

A child who can’t read by Grade 5 will struggle in every subject after it. A child carrying anxiety nobody has named will not learn, however good the teaching. A child with no idea what work exists beyond their district will not aim for it. And a child in a school without clean water, a functioning library or a parent who understands what’s happening to them is fighting all three at once.

These are not separate problems. They are one child, and they arrive together.

Most organisations pick one and go deep. We think that’s right for them and wrong for the child. Sammati works across all of them inside the same school, with the same students, over the same years — because that’s the only way the gains hold.

Sammati means coming together to create meaningful change.

Who we are →

What we do

Eight pillars of change. One collective future.

We don’t run one-off camps. We commit to a partner school and run the programme areas it needs inside it, so that support compounds instead of evaporating when the workshop ends.

Our goals

Where we intend to be by 2029.

Our targets are promises, not achievements. Sammati is a new organisation, and we will publish what we actually achieve against them, every year, on this page.

8 initiatives
Programme areas
Running inside partner schools as one connected cycle, not eight separate workshops
24 outcomes
What we will report
Three measurable outcomes per initiative, published against a baseline
50,000+
Target 2029Reported so far
Young people
Reached across the eight areas — with reach and improvement reported as separate numbers
100%
Target 2029Reported so far
Referral coverage
Every institutional partner with a designated support contact and a documented referral pathway
Our commitment to honesty

Development work is full of numbers that mean nothing. We are committing, in advance, to three rules: we will report students reached and students who improved as separate figures; we will publish our annual financials on this website; and where a programme doesn’t work, we will say so and say what we changed.
